This backyard is unusually giant for a service provider’s home in City on the island of Nantucket. Proprietor Ken Jennings reviews that it “was stuffed with little outbuildings” after they purchased the home (read about the house here). The yard was a staging space throughout renovations. Ken’s subsequent design produced a backyard lush with perennial beds, boxwood edging, seating areas, and sculpture. It has already matured past its three years.
Easy pavers lead into the backyard, which already appears to be like timeless by using sculpture, aged stone, boxwood hedges, and historic furnishings. Rising on each side of the fountain, espaliered apple timber have picturesque, gnarled and twisting branches.
Proprietor Ken Jennings, a panorama designer in addition to an inside designer, makes use of fences as alternatives for vertical show. An espaliered cherry tree, not too long ago planted, blooms prettily in opposition to a facet wall. On the rear is a seating space edged with granite curb stones.
Resident Scotties Archie and Gracie have the run of the backyard. Their entry is a doggie door lower into the pantry/laundry room off the kitchen.
